The air is turning crisp, the leaves are turning colors. It's Pumpkin Spice time.
You may already have many of these ingredients already, but if not, feel free to replace them with ones you do have or leave some out. Smoothies are pretty flexible that way. The key thing is to have the pumpkin puree, the pumpkin spices, some sort of liquid, and Skinny Coconut Oil for raw energy.
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup apple juice (or water if you prefer)
- 1 tsp of pumpkin spice (or mix nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 banana
- 1/2 cup of almond milk (or coconut milk)
- 1 tbsp of Skinny Coconut Oil
Begin melting the coconut oil by running the jar under warm water.
Mix the liquid ingredients first. Add the juice or water, almond or coconut milk, vanilla extract, and liquid coconut oil in a liquid measuring cup.
Pour the mixture into your blender, Blendtec, Vitamix, Nutribullet, or whatever you use to make smoothies.
Add the pumpkin spice, banana, and finally the pumpkin puree.
Mix in the blending device and serve.
Makes about 16 oz.
